Mini Bio:
My name is Kaitlyn Murphy, born June 25th, 1999. Since I was younger I've used art as a form of communication. It's always been a passion of mine, not just something to pass the time or as a side hobby. When first coming to college I was worried about what jobs I would be able to get with my artistic and creative abilities so I was going to go into engineering.
Upon finding out about Annette Brown, the Computer Graphic Technology instructor, and her past of commercials, animation, and videos I became very interested in trying to pursue art as I'd always dreamed. I'd taken a gap year before college as I was very confused with exactly what I wanted to do with my life, and was even looking to enroll in the Navy. Within my first year at Northwest Kansas Technical College, I'd figured out I made the right choice of program.
Within the first year here, not only had I rekindled my love of art, I also found my other half. In my second year, I have a son and am still going strong. I plan to work hard and give him a life he deserves. I'm very excited about my future, and I'm ready to learn and become a better designer.
